Studying old master paintings is a great way of understanding figure construction and composition. Vadim will share his impressionistic approach in a master study of "The Flute Player" by Charles-Amable Lenoir. A limited palette will be used to control value and color temperature. The process will be kept simple beginning with large abstract shapes, slowly building forms and details. Vadim will also work through the challenges of a painting on a cloudy day in a studio.
