The process of tonal drawing helps focus on the relationships between dark and light values.  Vadim will demonstrate how he breaks down complex photo references into simple impressionistic compositional studies using charcoal.  The versatility of charcoal will be used in various ways to create clear focal points and atmospheric ambience.  Each drawing will demonstrate the step by step process of simplifying value groups and using perspective in developing strong compositions.
